Sizes

We provide two different size measurements on our website to help you imagine how you’re new favourite vintage piece will fit you. If you’ve wondered what these measurements mean, this is the place to find out.

Best fits

Wearing vintage is incredibly creative! That’s why there’s not only little difference between genders but sizes too. A size M blouse doesn’t only fit a person with size M – but, depending on the style you’re going for, can fit you if you’re a size XS too.

Still, we always provide the sizes according to the piece itself. Check the tables below which measurements we’ve used for classifying sizes.

Anyway, don’t let yourself get boxed in by sizes, especially when it comes to tops. Oversized is great!

How to take measurements correctly:

Bust
Always measure at the widest area of your bust. The tape measure should go around in a straight line and wear bras or bralettes if you would usually wear with the desired item. By doing so the fit won’t be to tight if you want to wear a bra.

Waist
Measure around your waist in a straight line. Your waist is the narrowest part of your torso. Avoid sucking in or expanding your tummy. Pro-tip: Inhale and exhale to relax your stomach before measuring. Your waistline may vary depending on if you’ve just eaten or not.

Hips
Measure around the widest area of your bottom, which usually is around 22 to 24cm beneath your waistline. Again, mind that the tape measure runs in a straight line.

Shoulders
Stand up straight. To measure the distance between the outside of your shoulders – the point along the top of your shoulder where your arm and shoulder meet, not on the outside of your arms – lay the measuring tape across your shoulders, behind the neck but not too high, in a slight arc. Make sure the ends of the tape are lying at the same height for a correct measurement.

Model size
As vintage pieces are (almost) exclusively one-of-a-kind, it's important to get the size of your new garment right. So take a good look at its fit on our models!

We always provide our models' size and height to help with your judgement on how a piece will look on you.

Check the following tables below if you want to know our models' measurements in detail. Please note that these are people and their sizes may vary.
