Warm breakfasts are the best, especially in winter. And as I’m a total smoothie lover I wanted to try out something different: A new chocolate smoothie variation and it is WARM.
Perfect for the cold days and perfect for sharing with your favourite person as it is not only delicious but also very rich and filling. Another benefit: It is the perfect way to use your last Carrot Cake Energy Balls – I just put them as a topping on the smoothie bowl. Looks pretty and tastes like Christmas :)
Warm Chocolate Smoothie Breakfast Bowl | vegan, opt. gluten-free
What you need
2 small bananas, very ripe
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup oat milk
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp natural peanut butter, unsweetened
1 tbsp hemp flour
yummy toppings (e.g. oats, hemp powder, spices or Carrot Cake Energy Balls)
How to make it
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend for one or two minutes. Set aside for about one or two hours, then blend again until the mixture is very smooth.
2. Heat up your smoothie bowl and enjoy. I ate it with my Carrot Cake Energy Balls, perfect for two hungry people :)
Tips
If you don’t want to wait for two hours, heat the smoothie before blending it the second time and mix afterwards — through cooking the oats will soak faster which makes them easier to blend.
Leave the energy balls if you eat the smoothie alone. It will still be very filling and satisfying.
