Every year we are surprised how fast the last 52 weeks have passed. But yes, another year is over and we are now able to present our THIRD end-of-the-year flashback! (You can read last year’s HERE and our first one HERE). And now: A few words about our past year. Hope, you enjoy it ❤️❤️As every year, so not really surprising: January wasn’t exciting. In our minds we went back in the woods, showed you some snapshots of our winter collection and worked hard for university. Luckily the holidays already were upon us.
February was much more exciting. We launched our Valentine’s Day Collection, showed you the latest vintage lingerie trends and spread the love through photos and videos. But much more important: We got a third member, Johanna, who helped us growing and getting more and more professional. Welcome in the DoS-crew, dear!
After leaving Austria for four months to study in Prague (Diana; internship at a design and lifestyle magazine), we separated at least physically. But we learned working entirely via Dropbox and meeting via Skye. A few days before easter we took part at the Easter-Design-Market at Himmelgrau in Graz and sold some lovely vintage items offline.
Together with many other fair fashion bloggers and loads of people all over the world we took part at #fashionrevolutionday. But instead of asking the labels “Who made my clothes?” we showed people the importance and beauty of second hand and vintage clothing. Thus we launched our spring collection and teamed up with wonderful photographer Paige Baralija for a great vintage photo shoot. You did a stunning job, Paige!
In May we rode our bikes in our vintage tweed clothing at the Tweed Run in Graz and teamed up with Omas Teekanne in order to create these wonderful photos! A few days later we were at Feschmarkt and met so many lovely people – thanks to all who came to visit us there ❤️
In June something really special happened: We were invited to sell our clothes at 15 Seconds Festival where we met and heard a lot of interesting people and speakers. We also wrote a lot of blog posts, showed you the nice and vegan sides of Prague and reunited at the end of June. Four months can be a really short time!
Immediately after our reunion we shooted our summer collection, went in the south of Styria in order to discuss our shop situation and shoot our lingerie lookbook. Just a few weeks later we got our fist official intern Julia who helped us shooting, organizing and blogging for a whole month. And at the end of July we packet our things and went to Croatia to shoot our bohemian summer lookbook. Busy busy but a lot of fun!
August was boho at the beginning and sporty at the end! We went back to the 90s, started listening to 90s high school songs and played tennis in our fancy tennis skirts. Unfortunately Julia had to leave at the end of August – we wanted to say thanks one more time, we loved working with you!
In September we started having double-vision! We were entirely in circus-fever and went to Vienna to the 25 hours hotel in order to sell our special circus collection there. We also showed you our vegan guide to Tuscany and some ways to style mom jeans or slip dresses in autumn. And we showed you our first step to Zero Waste: Menstrual Cups!
Autumn without autumnal lookbook? Impossible! This year we went to Grüner See with some of the best people in the world and shot our explorer lookbook. But even more important: We had our very first sustainability-event! Together with the art-club kulm we gave a speech about the fashion industry and did an upcycling-workshop for old clothes. It was a great experience we’d love to repeat!
And on November 14th we opened our very first own pop-up store at Kaiserfeldgasse in Graz. After a perfect opening-party we were there six days a week. It was a wonderful experience we wouldn’t want to miss. So many of you came to visit us and supported our project. Lots of love to aaaall of you!
There were also two super-nice blogger events in November, one at Vapiano and one at TashLiving. Thanks so much for the invites!
And in December? We had our daily surprises for you, uploaded some new winter items in our shop, launched a lot of new collections in our offline store and had a wonderful shooting with these three lovely girls. And in the end was the biggest vintage-clothing sale in Graz right before New Year’s Eve… It was a lot of fun!
So we wish all of you a wonderful wonderful happy New Year, enjoy it and all the best for your upcoming projects!
