Graz has its first grocery store without packaging!
We visited Das Gramm to get a picture of the small but fondly decorated shop at
.Well, what should we say? As we love the idea of Zero Waste and stared digging deeper in the matter ourselves (more blog posts are yet to come), the shop is something like heaven on earth for us. And many more people seem to think like that as it was successfully financed by Crowdfunding this spring. With the money the two girls – Sarah and Verena – built a place-to-be in the middle of Graz.
Here, you can get your daily lunch out of seasonal and local ingredients but also the groceries for your own dinner at home. Bring your mason jars or canvas bags and fill them with nuts, beans and flour or buy/borrow their glasses to take chickpeas and lentils home.
But also spices, fresh veggies, fruits, dairy products or even meat are on offer, as well as vinegar which you can fill directly in the bottle you brought yourself. Zero-Waste-Lifestyle? Not impossible anymore! :)
Anything else to mention? We would suggest: Just visit Das Gramm yourself and have a nice chat with the two lovely owners. And take some of the real straws with you! ;)
So: Wie viel Gramm Glück steckt in deiner Tasche? (How much gram luck is in your bag?)
